Therapeutic Supervised Visitation

The Process

Much like our Supervised Visitation, this service is often court-ordered. However, in Therapeutic Supervised Visitation, the non-custodial parent typically needs a bit more assistance. Maybe they’re overcoming severe trauma to try and reconnect with their child(ren). Or perhaps they are simply lacking understanding about how to properly interact with their child(ren).

In this case, the supervisor takes a more hands-on approach. They will help you learn how to safely and healthily interact with your child to build a strong connection and bond with them. The supervisor will have a professional knowledge base in therapy and be able to provide you with tools and skills to be the parent you want to be.

Why It’s Beneficial

Things happen in life. Sometimes we’re not the parents we wish we could be. Trauma, addiction, and abuse can alienate us from our children. Getting back on track is possible, but sometimes we need more help to do that. This service will provide parents the opportunity to truly make amends for past pain and move forward together with their children in a healthy, productive manner.

Who You’ll Be Working With

Tim Kemery, LCSW and Kitty White, LCSW serve as therapeutic supervisors. They each have a wide knowledge base of therapeutic models and will work with you to create a personalized approach to repairing your relationship with your child(ren). They are there to support and encourage you every step of the way.
